Keeping you healthy is important.  And, our technology often can collect germs, and re-infect ourselves.  Screens and keyboards often catch our sneezes, and they can use a regular cleaning.

Cleaning your Chromebook:


  • Before cleaning, POWER down your Chromebook.
  • Clean the screen with a soft, dry antistatic, or microfiber cloth. 
  • Do not use window cleaner or any type of liquid on the Chromebook. 
  • You can also use packaged pre-moistened eyeglass lens cleaning tissues to clean the screen.


Making your Chromebook more healthy:

Sometimes your Google Account is compromised.  It can come from visiting some websites, and other issues.

To clean up your Google Account:


  • Reset Cookies and Browsing History
  • Delete unnecessary extensions.  Extensions can slow down your Chromebook.
    • To get there quickly, type in your URL Address bar: chrome://extensions
    • Hit the trash can icon next to extensions you wish to remove.
  • Delete unnecessary desktop themes.

    • To get there quickly, type in your URL Address bar: chrome://settings 
    • Go to Appearance, and select 'Reset to default theme'  
  • Reset Chrome
    • To get there quickly, type in your URL Address bar: chrome://settings
    • Scroll to bottom of page. Select 'show advanced settings'.
    • Scroll to the bottom of page.  Select 'Reset Chrome'.  This will set your chrome browser back to original setup.  
  • Log out / Login of your Chromebook.
